Currently we only sell our books in the shop, but we receive enquiries via email and phone daily, and are happy to offer a Mail Order service to all of our customers. With the advent of the 7 day a week Ferry sailing from Ullapool to Stornoway (Isle of Lewis), the Ullapool Bookshop is open seven days a week all year round (excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).
Ullapool Bookshop has just launched a new Ullapool Trading website offering niche books, gifts and cards online.
The Ullapool Bookshop participates in World Book Day, promoting special books for Children, as well as World Book Night as being a registered shop for givers. During early May, the Ullapool Bookshop also is involved in the Ullapool Book Festival, with all the authors’ books on display throughout the month, as well as welcoming authors who visit from time to time. The Bookshop, Captain’s Cabin and Lochbroom Hardware are all owned by the same family run business, whose director is Katrina Thomson; the third generation of her family to run these local shops.
